About dRofus

dRofus is a software to support architectural programming, room requirements and room data sheets, equipment planning and design in complex building projects. The software is also frequently called a room database or equipment database. dRofus is developed through several years by Nosyko AS and is based on experiences from several projects, and is to day the leading software used an all large hospital projects in Norway, and several other projects.

Below you can learn more about the main modules and key functionality in dRofus.

Modules in dRofus

The room database holds information about the architectural programming. Key information here is the architectural functions and rooms/spaces with a functional room number. To each room there could be attached a room data sheet with specific room requirements and an equipment list.

Room data sheets. With a projects specific schema and standardized solutions you could achieve consistent room data sheets for large projects.

The equipment database is a module for planning equipment and furniture. This is done from at list of article types described in a supplier independent manner. These types are then placed in list for each room. The specification of the article types and the quantities is the foundation for the tender process. The use of standardized equipment solutions gives high data quality and consistency in the projects.

The purchase module takes information and quantities directly from the equipment database and follow it through the tender process until it is received at the construction site. This ensures that the planned equipment is bought and you can follow the equipment in each room through the entire process. Additionally this is a support tool for evaluating tenders and offers and for complete cost control in the project, planned and purchased.

Key features

All modules are integrated in one application to ensure easy access to all relevant data. An intuitive Windows user interface makes is easy to navigate in the program and to use. Other key features are:

Logging of all changes makes it possible to track all changes done in the project. Who did it, when and why?. Advanced search functionality makes it easy to find.

Reports and exports to formats such as MS Excel, MS Word, PDF and XML. There are over 50 reports with filtering and sorting possibilities. All lists and tables can in adittion be exported to Excel and Word.

Secure storage of project data on a central server makes it possible to work from any location.

Using standardized solutions speeds up the work and ensures high data quality and data consistency.

Control against CAD drawings ensures consistency check between plan and design. This is done by importing drawings on the IFC standard.

IFC export/import makes it possible to exchange data between dRofus and other design and planning tools.
